Founded in the 1960s by architect Marcel Breuer, Flaine was designed to blend into the mountain landscape while showcasing a distinctive modernist style.
This identity is also reflected in the works of art found throughout the resort. Pablo Picasso, Victor Vasarely, Jean Dubuffet… several great artists have left their mark on Flaine, turning the resort into a veritable open-air museum.
Here, the mountains can also be discovered through art and architecture.

Located at an altitude between 1,600 and 2,500 meters, Flaine offers exceptional panoramic views of the Mont Blanc massif and enjoys naturally favorable snow conditions. In 2025, Flaine was ranked as the resort with the most snow in Europe.
The slopes of Flaine, designed by French skiing champion Émile Allais, are part of the Grand Massif, one of the largest interconnected ski areas in the French Alps. From beginners to experienced skiers, everyone can find their own playground here, between the slopes and the forest.

For a ski-in/ski-out vacation, the Totem boasts a prime location. From the hotel, you have direct access to the slopes and the Grandes Platières cable car. You’re also right in the heart of Flaine Forum, just a short walk from restaurants, shops, and Flaine’s iconic landmarks.
Ski passes, premium ski lessons… The front desk will handle your reservations. No need to wait in line: you’ll save time and make the most of your stay.
